Rosa Parks was joined by a large number other prominent black leaders who signing the 1975 anti-boycott letter. (You can read the entire letter here.) Bayard Rustin organized the 1963 March on Washington along with fellow co-signer A. Philip Randolph. Also on board was Tom Bradley, the first black mayor of Los Angeles, and Theodore M. Berry, the first black mayor of Cincinnati. Renowned civil rights and women’s rights activist Dorothy Height, who Barak Obama dubbed the “godmother of civil rights,” signed on. So did Roy Wilkins, the NAACP executive director at the time, and Gloster Current, another senior NAACP leader. There was civil rights and labor leader Norman Hill; W.E.B. DuBois Award recipient Vivian Henderson; National Urban League Guild leader Mollie Moon; J. Saunders Redding, the first black Ivy League faculty member; Lorenzo Greene; Arthur Ashe; Mrs. Louis Armstrong; senior officials of the AFL-CIO; and many civil rights trailblazers.

QUOTES FROM JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS ABOUT BDS MOVEMENT:
The CEO of the ADL, the largest American organization dedicated to combating antisemitism, recently stated that “The founding goals of the BDS movement, and many of the strategies employed in BDS campaigns, are fundamentally anti-Semitic.” The Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations argues that “the BDS movement at its core is anti-Semitic as has been amply demonstrated.” The head of the American Jewish Committee has asked rhetorically, “If the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (B.D.S.) movement isn’t another form of anti-Semitism, what is?” J Street, a liberal critic of Israel, has noted that “the Global BDS Movement does not support the two-state solution, recognize the right of the Jewish people to a state, or distinguish between opposition to the existence of Israel itself and opposition to the occupation of the territory beyond the Green Line. Further, some of the Movement’s supporters and leaders have trafficked in unacceptable anti-Semitic rhetoric.” And a vice chair of the liberal Americans for Peace Now has written that “BDS’s prime motivation, if their messaging is to be believed, is not to end the occupation at all; rather, it is to end Israel.” The late Amos Oz, a liberal icon in Israel and beyond, also had choice words for BDS.
